This past Saturday, Stone Ridge Christian FFA, a new private school chapter with just under 50 members, made an impressive mark at the Merced-Mariposa sectional speaking contest, dubbed “Super Saturday”. The chapter had eleven students that participated in the various categories such as, creed contest, job interview, prepared and impromptu speech, Stone Ridge ended up with five students in the top twelve of these contests, including three students who will head to the regional competition in Modesto this March. The chapter and school are incredibly proud of Lilly Wareham, who placed 12th in creed, Alyssa Vander Woude- 7th in job interview, Sydney Shaw-- 5th in impromptu, Maartje Vander Dussen--3rd in impromptu, Sasha Stillman--4th in prepared, and Isabella Alexander with 2nd in prepared. Maartje, Sasha and Isabella will continue to prepare for regionals. Being the smallest chapter in the section did not stop Stone Ridge Christian from doing amazing things.
